  1. To not feel sorry for; used to show that the speaker believes that the target deserves to suffer due to the latter's actions and thus deserves no condolences or sympathy.
    After the college admissions scandal surfaced in March 2019, many people have no sympathy for the parents or the students involved in the illegal admissions.

Usage notes[edit]

"I have no sympathy for you" is similar in tone and meaning to serves you right! Both are used to express a refusal to feel sorry for a person deemed to have "earned" their plight or suffering.
