Etymology[edit]
iso- + Ancient Greek θέρος (théros, “summer”) + Ancient Greek ὄμβρος (ómbros, “rain, rainstorm”) + -ose.

- (geography) An isoline connecting points on the Earth's surface that have the same mean summer rainfall.
