kakker m (plural kakkers, diminutive kakkertje n)
- (literally, vulgar) One who shits or defecates.
- (by extension, usually derogatory) A stereotypical designation of a Dutch person who is elitist, posh, preppy, and conceited. Commonly associated attributes include polo shirts, field hockey, and the accent (bekakt praten).
- Die debiele kakker snuift de hele dag op kosten van zijn vader. ― That idiotic preppy asshole snorts [drugs] all day at his father's expense.
Usage notes[edit]
- The sense "preppy person" is sometimes used positively, as a geuzennaam (reappropriated derogatory nickname), by members of this subculture.
