From oo- (object-subject pronoun meaning “something”) +‎ -l- (classifier) +‎ -jééʼ (obsolete verb stem meaning “to shine”). Cognate with Ahtna dzaes (shine) and dzaen (day), and probably with Ket qīp (moon).
