[edit]Etymology
[edit]Verb
[edit]reafforest (third-person singular simple present reafforests, present participle reafforesting, simple past and past participle reafforested)
- (dated) To reforest.
- 1901 August 2, “Australian Tree Seeds”, in The Agricultural Journal and Mining Record[1], volume 4, number 11, page 326:
- While it is a very slow-growing tree, there is some consolation in the fact that it usually grows in barren, rocky country, unsuitable for agriculture, and therefore wholesale clearings are not made as is the case with many other timbers. At the same time it does not readily reafforest.
