schlësme

  1. (Uri, of snowflakes) To undergo rounding, a process that occurs under high snow temperatures and weak temperature gradients, in which the sharp edges of a snowflake are rounded, forming round grains or "rounds", thus minimizing surface area of the snowflakes and strengthening the snowpack.
