  1. (taxonomy) Synonym of subtribe
    • 1959, Persoonia, page 155:
      Fries devided[sic] this tribus into two subtribus, viz. Rhodopolii and Plutei. In accordance with the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature (I.C.B.N.) art. 22.4 these subtribus are to be typified with Agaricus rhodopolius and A. pluteus respectively.
