وَرْدِيّة (wardiyyaf (plural وَرْدِيّات (wardiyyāt))

  1. (Christianity) rosary (kind of prayer)
    أُصَلِّي اَلْوَرْدِيَّةَ كُلَّ لَيْلةٍ
    ʔuṣallī l-wardiyyata kulla laylatin
    I pray the rosary every night.
  2. (Christianity) rosary (string of beads used to count the individual prayers in the above)
    عِنْدِي وَرْدِيَّةٌ قَدِيمَةٌ اِشْتَرَيْتُهَا فِي رُومَا
    ʕindī wardiyyatun qadīmatun ištaraytuhā fī rūmā
    I have an old rosary which I bought in Rome.
