- (computing) to load (a software program, a file, etc.)
Usage notes
[edit]- Ŝargi and ŝarĝi can both translate "to load," but in different senses. Ŝargi means to put into an apparatus what it needs to function, e.g. to place a bullet into a gun, to charge a battery with electricity. Ŝarĝi means to load in the sense of to impose a burden; for example, to load a vehicle with cargo for transport.
- The direct object of ŝargi is the device, etc., that is the recipient of the charge: ŝargi pafilon per kartoĉo, ŝargi kameraon per filmo, etc.
