Borrowed from Old Persian 𐎥𐎢𐎲𐎽𐎢𐎺 (g-u-b-ru-u-v /⁠Gaubᵃruva⁠/), possibly meaning “chewing cattle” or “having cattle (or beef) for food”.[1]
