Etymology[edit]

From Scythian *kuzulaka (striving, ambitious, energetic), (cf. Khotanese kūys (to seek, search)).[1]

Possibly related to the name Κοζουλου (Kozoulou) and Κοζολα (Kozola) used by Kushan kings.[2]

Cognate with Gandhari 𐨐𐨂𐨯𐨂𐨫𐨂𐨐 (kusuluka).
