Etymology[edit]
From Proto-Saka *Kuzulaka (“striving, ambitious, energetic”). Compare with Khotanese kūys (“to seek, search”).[1]
Possibly related to the name 𐨐𐨂𐨗𐨂𐨫 (Kujula) used by Kushan kings.[2]
Cognate with Ancient Greek Κοζουλο (Kozoulo).
