Etymology[edit]
From Katharevousa ἀνευφήμισις (aneuphḗmisis) with modern ending -ση. From the Ancient verb ἀνευφημέω (aneuphēméō) / ἀνευφημῶ (stem ἀν-ευ-φημη-) + -σις (suffix for feminine nouns).
