  • Only attested as a gloss in Orphic fragment 219.
    150 CE – 215 CE, Clement of Alexandria, Stromata 5.8.46.3:
    βέδυ μὲν γὰρ τοὺς Φρύγας τὸ ὕδωρ φησὶ καλεῖν.
    bédu mèn gàr toùs Phrúgas tò húdōr phēsì kaleîn.
    for it is said that the Phrygians call water bedu.
