Greek
[edit]Etymology
[edit]From an unattested *εὐβολεύω (*euboleúō), from Hellenistic Koine Greek εὐβολῶ (eubolô), εὐβολέω (euboléō) from εὖ (eû, “good”) + -βολος (-bolos), the latter component from βολή (bolḗ, “wound of a missile; throw of the dice”). The original sense was "to accurately throw dice", which shifted to "be convenient, arrange".
