Ancient Greek[edit]
Etymology[edit]
Comparison with νωρεῖ (nōreî, “is active”) and Lithuanian norėti (“to want”) is perhaps possible, but gratuitous. The suffix -οπ- may point to a Pre-Greek word.

- (4th CE Koine) IPA(key): /ˈno.rops/
