Probably borrowed from Old Church Slavonic Татїана (Tatiana), from Byzantine Greek Τατιάνα (Tatiána), Τατιανή (Tatianḗ), from Latin Tatiana, from Tatianus, from Tatius of Sabine origin.[1] Compare Russian Татья́на (Tatʹjána), Middle Russian Татиа́на (Tatiána).
