Etymology[edit]

Ultimately derived from Medieval Latin analysis and Ancient Greek ἀνάλυσις (análusis, a breaking up, a loosening, releasing), appended with the verbal suffix -и́рам (-íram). Likely influenced by English analyze, and possibly by Russian анализи́ровать (analizírovatʹ).
