Cognate with Tatar пычрак (pıçraq, dirt), perhaps Kazakh былжырақ (byljyraq, mud, slush), Kyrgyz былжырак (bıljırak, slushy, squashy, gooey, adj), Southern Altai былјырак (bïlǰïrak); note also Uzbek bilch-bilch loy (mud, sludge).
