Via Volga Turki اوجماخ (ujmax, paradise), via Chagatai, from Old Uyghur [script needed] (uǯmaq) / [script needed] (uštmaḥ, paradise), from Sogdian [script needed] (ʼwštmʼχ, paradise)[1].

Cognate with Kazakh ұжмақ (ujmaq), Kyrgyz ужмак (ucmak), учмак (uçmak), Uzbek uchmoh (paradise).
