Etymology[edit]

From Proto-Turkic *sat-ïg-čï (seller), from Proto-Turkic *sat- (to sell).

Cognate with Bashkir һатыусы (hatıwsı, seller), Turkish satıcı (seller), Dolgan атыыһыт (merchant), etc.

Synchronously, сут (sut) +‎ -уҫӑ (-uś̬ă).
