Mongolian

Etymology

From Proto-Mongolic *sün/*üsün, connections with Proto-Turkic *sǖd (milk) have been proposed, but the forms cannot be explained through usual loanword correspondences.

Compare Daur suu, East Yugur hsün, Turkish süt.
