  1. to be capable of, to be able, to manage
    кӏалэм бэ фэлъэкӏыгъ — The boy was capable of doing a lot.
    сыфэлъэкӏыщт арI can do that.
    кӏалэм сымаджэу къыфэлъэкӏыщтэп мэхъыенэ — the boy is not capable to move while he is sick.
    нэхьыбэ мыщ ащ фэлъэкӏыщтэпhe is not capable of more than this.
    сымышхэнэ къэсфэлъэкӏыщтI can bear without eating.
    бэрэ сычъыныр къэсфэлъакӏыI capable of running a lot.
  2. to bear
    сыфэлъэкӏыщт арI can stand/bear that.
    лӏыжъым къыфэмылъэкӏыжьэу кӏалэхэмэ ащыхьагъ — The old man while couldn't bear the boys anymore yelled at them.
