Cognate with Tatar эңгер (eñger), Kazakh іңір (ıñır), ымырт (ymyrt), Kyrgyz иңир (iŋir), иңирт (iŋirt), Karachay-Balkar ингир (iñir, “evening”), Turkmen iňrik (“evening twilight”); Tuvan имир (imir), имиртиң (imirtiñ, “twilight”), Yakut им (im, “twilight”), Chuvash ӗнер (ĕner, “yesterday”), etc.
