Etymology[edit]

From Proto-Indo-European *bʰoldʰyo-, from *bʰel- (to blow, swell), whence բոլոր (bolor). Cognate with Old Swedish bulde, bolde (swelling, tumour). Related to բողջն (bołǰn).
