      Զառ ի սմանէ մանկունս է տեսանել, որ ի դրունս սորա բնակիտ ի ձեռս առեալ զդաւթական երգս երգէին, այսօր ի դուրս դիւաբնակ կաղաղանացն՝ զոր մզկիթն կոչեն, անդր կաքաւեն ուսանելով զմահմետաւանդ զասացեալսն։
      Zaṙ i smanē mankuns ē tesanel, or i druns sora bnakit i jeṙs aṙeal zdawtʿakan ergs ergēin, aysōr i durs diwabnak kałałanacʿn, zor mzkitʿn kočʿen, andr kakʿawen usanelov zmahmetawand zasacʿealsn.

        Those clerics who could be seen at the [church] doors, books in hand, singing Davidic psalms, dance before the doors of those demon-infested lairs called mosques learning the sayings of Islam.
