Old Armenian

Etymology

The ու- (u-) is probably from the (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Indo-European *-kʷu- adverbial stem. The origin of -ստ (-st) is uncertain; perhaps from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Indo-European *-dh-to.
