Etymology[edit]

From Slavic, most likely as a partial calque of Polish drzemka, i.e. דרעם (drem) +‎ ־ל (-l). Compare also Bulgarian дрямка (drjamka), Serbo-Croatian, Macedonian дремка (dremka).
