- וְתֵיכוּל קֳדָם יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ בְּאַתְרָא דִּי יִתִּרְעֵי לְאַשְׁרָאָה שְׁכִנְתֵּיהּ תַּמָּן מַעְשַׂר עִבוּרָךְ חַמְרָךְ וּמִשְׁחָךְ וּבְכוֹרֵי תוֹרָךְ וְעָנָךְ בְּדִיל דְּתֵילַף לְמִדְחַל קֳדָם יְיָ אֱלָהָךְ כָּל יוֹמַיָּא:
- wəṯēkul qŏdām yəyā ĕlāhāḵ bəʾaṯərā dī yitirəʿē ləʾašərāʾā šəḵinətēh tammān maʿaśar ʿiḇūrāḵ ḥamərāḵ umišəḥāḵ uḇəḵōrē ṯōrāḵ wəʿānāḵ bəḏīl dəṯēlap̄ ləmiḏəḥal qŏḏām yəyā ĕlāhāḵ kāl yōmayyā.
- You shall eat in the presence of Adonoy, your God, in the place He chooses to house His Presence [Shechinah] there—the tithe of your grain, your wine, and your olive oil, and the firstborn of your cattle and flocks; in order that you learn to fear [before] Adonoy, your God, all the years.
