עַשְׁתֵּי עֶשְׂרֵה • (ʿashtéi ʿesré)

   • Tanach, Exodus 26:7-8, with translation of the Jewish Publication Society:

     וְעָשִׂיתָ יְרִיעֹת עִזִּים לְאֹהֶל עַל־הַמִּשְׁכָּן עַשְׁתֵּי־עֶשְׂרֵה יְרִיעֹת תַּעֲשֶׂה אֹתָם׃ אֹרֶךְ ׀ הַיְרִיעָה הָאַחַת שְׁלֹשִׁים בָּאַמָּה וְרֹחַב אַרְבַּע בָּאַמָּה הַיְרִיעָה הָאֶחָת מִדָּה אַחַת לְעַשְׁתֵּי עֶשְׂרֵה יְרִיעֹת׃

     V-ʿasíta y'riʿót ʿizzím l-óhel ʿal ha-mishkán ʿashtéi esréi y'riʿét taʿaséh otám.. Órekh ha-yriʿa ha-aḥat shloshím ba-ammá v-róḥav arbáʿ ba-ammá ha-yriʿá ha-aḥát middá aḥát l-ʿashtéi ʿesréi.

     And thou shalt make curtains of goats’hair for a tent over the tabernacle; eleven curtains shalt thou make them. The length of each curtain shall be thirty cubits, and the breadth of each curtain four cubits; the eleven curtains shall have one measure.

     וַתָּבֹא הָעִיר בַּמָּצוֹר עַד עַשְׁתֵּי עֶשְׂרֵה שָׁנָה לַמֶּלֶךְ צִדְקִיָּהוּ׃

     Va-tavó ha-ʿír ba-matzór ʿad ʿashtéi ʿesréi shaná la-mélekh Tzidqiyáhu.

     So the city was besieged unto the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.
