Etymology

From the root ء ل ه (ʔ-l-h). Denominal verb from إِلٰه (ʔilāh, god), ultimately from Proto-Semitic *ʾil-.

أَلَّهَ (ʔallaha) II (non-past يُؤَلِّهُ (yuʔallihu), verbal noun تَأْلِيه (taʔlīh))
