Compare Classical Persian سپیدار (sapēdar, white poplar) and Middle Persian [Book Pahlavi needed] (spyt'-dʾl /⁠spēd-dār⁠/, white poplar, aspen). Equivalent to سپی (spî, white) +‎ دار (dar, tree).
