Derived from the active participle of كَمَلَ ‎(kamala, to be complete, to be finished) and كَمِلَ ‎(kamila, to be complete, to be finished) and كَمُلَ ‎(kamula, to be complete, to be finished), from the root ك م ل ‎(k-m-l).
