Etymology

Derived from the active participle of تَقَدَّمَ (taqaddama, to precede, to proceed), from the root ق د م (q-d-m).

مُتَقَدِّم (mutaqaddim) (feminine مُتَقَدِّمَة (mutaqaddima), masculine plural مُتَقَدِّمُونَ (mutaqaddimūna), feminine plural مُتَقَدِّمَات (mutaqaddimāt))
