Etymology

Derived from the active participle of نَفَعَ (nafaʕa, to be useful, to benefit), from the root ن ف ع (n-f-ʕ).

نَافِع (nāfiʕ) (feminine نَافِعَة (nāfiʕa), masculine plural نَافِعُون (nāfiʕūn), feminine plural نَافِعَات (nāfiʕāt) or نَوَافِع (nawāfiʕ), elative أَنْفَع (ʔanfaʕ))

  2. wholesome
