[edit]From چاقماق (çakmak, “firestricker, firesteel”) + طاش (taş, “stone”).

[edit]- flint, a hard, fine-grained quartz that generates sparks when struck against a material such as steel
- gunflint, the piece of flint or other natural stone that is used in a flintlock weapon to generate a spark
