Etymology

From ܚܠܡܬܐ (ḥəlaməṯāʾ, oxtongue [flower]) + (də-, da-, of) + ܬܕܐ (təḏāʾ, the breast). Compare Arabic حَلَمَة (ḥalama(t)) and حَلَمَة الثَّدْي (ḥalamat aṯ-ṯady).
