Etymology
[edit]Tool noun derived from ܠܵܚܹܡ (lāḥēm, “to adapt, fit”) as a calque of Arabic مُكَيِّف هَوَاء (mukayyif hawāʔ). Coined by Odisho Malko Gewargis and first published in a 2018 dictionary, as a substitute for the more common Anglicism ܐܲܝܪܟܘܿܢ (ayrkōn).
