Semi-learned borrowing from Classical Syriac equivalent to a contraction of ܥܕ݂ܲܡܵܐ (ˁḏammā, until) +‎ ܡ̣ܢ (min, from) +‎ ܗܵܫܵܐ (hāšā, now).
