Cognate with Avestan 𐬐𐬆𐬵𐬭𐬞𐬇𐬨‎ (kəhrpə̄m‎), Middle Persian klp (kirb, body, form), Latin corpus, Old Armenian որովայն (orovayn) and Old English hrif (whence English riff).
