[edit]Borrowed from Classical Persian دوستانه (dōstāna). By surface analysis, दोस्त (dost, “friend”) + -आना (-ānā). Compare Punjabi ਦੋਸਤਾਨਾ (dostānā) / دوستانہ (dostānh), Sindhi دوستاڻو / दोस्ताणो.
