    • Gāthā Saptaśatī [in Sanskrit] :
      अपराह्णागतजामातुर् द्विगुणयति मोहनोत्कण्ठाम् ।
      वध्वा गृहपश्चाद्भागमज्जनपिशुनो वलयशब्दः ॥
      aparāhṇāgatajāmātur dviguṇayati mohanotkaṇṭhām.
      vadhvā gṛhapaścādbhāgamajjanapiśuno valayaśabdaḥ.
      The sound of bracelets, indicating the bathing of the bride in the back-portion of the house, double the longing for dalliance of the son-in-law who has arrived in the afternoon.
  2. (intransitive, proscribed, New Sanskrit) Synonym of द्विगुणायते (dviguṇāyate, to get doubled)
