Borrowed from Classical Persian فائده (fā'ida), from Arabic فَائِدَة (fāʔida). Cognate with Bengali ফায়দা (phaẏoda), Gujarati ફાયદો (phāyado), Hindi फ़ायदा (fāydā), Marathi फायदा (phāydā), Punjabi ਫ਼ਾਇਦਾ (fāidā).
