[edit]Inherited from Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀫𑀚𑁆𑀚𑀸 f (majjā), from Sanskrit मज्जा m (majjā), from Proto-Indo-Aryan *maźźʰā́, from Proto-Indo-Iranian *mazǰʰā́, from Proto-Indo-European *mosgʰ-ḗn ~ *m̥sgʰ-nés, from *mosgʰos + *-ḗn. Related to भेजा (bhejā). Doublet of मज्जा (majjā).
