[edit]Inherited from Prakrit रित्तग (rittaga), रित्तअ (rittaa), from Sanskrit रिक्त (riktá) + Middle Indo-Aryan -𑀓- (-ka-). Cognate with Marathi रिते (rite), Konkani रित्तें (rittễ), Hindi रीता (rītā).
