Derived from Sanskrit अकृतविद्य (akṛtavidya). Structurally, from Tatpuruṣa compound of অ- (o-) +‎ কৃতবিদ্য (kritôbiddô), or, by Bengali prefixation of অ- (o-) +‎ কৃতবিদ্য (kritôbiddô).
