Etymology[edit]

Structurally, by Bengali suffixation of অগ (og) +‎ -আ (-a). অগ (og) here derives from Sanskrit अज्ञ (ajña) [অজ্ঞ (ôggõ)]. Alternatively, it may have derived from Bengali অঘা (ogha).
