Borrowed from Classical Persian خواه مخواہ (xʷāh ma-xʷāh, literally “willing (or) not willing, willy-nilly”). Cognate with Urdu خواہ مخواہ (xāh maxāh), Haryanvi खामखा (khāmkhā).
