From Paisaci Prakrit [Term?] (compare Sauraseni Prakrit 𑀲𑁄𑀳𑀤𑀺 (sohadi)), from Sanskrit शोभति (śóbhati). Compare Old Marathi 𑘫𑘻𑘥𑘜𑘹 (śobhaṇe).
