From Proto-Sino-Tibetan *(r)tsuʔ (grass), suffixed with -བ (-ba). Cognate with Chinese (OC *sʰuːʔ), (OC *zlɯːns), Mawo Northern Qiang [Term?] (/dʐu/), Taoping Southern Qiang [Term?] (/dʐo²⁴¹/), Longchang Ao a za, Sangtam Naga za nu.
